One of the problems is that it is not necessarily a cut and dried subject. For example, and individual can be strongly against abortion, claiming it is nothing short of murder, yet at the same time be pro-choice because they understand women will continue to get abortions whether they are legal or not, and by being pro-choice they feel they are at least protecting the woman's life. And, as another example, an individual can be strongly pro-life, yet feel abortions for the safety of the life of the mother should be allowable. There are many issues which involve the subject of abortion, and this paper discusses the court case of Roe v. Wade, and then examines the pros and cons along with the moral implications of abortion.
