After the fall of the Taliban in 2001, the country and others have worked hard to develop blueprints to help the nation become a self-sustaining one. These blueprints include the Afghan Millennium Development Goals, which are in place with benchmark strategies to eliminate poverty, and the Afghanistan National Development Strategy, which is an overall strategy to move Afghanistan from a military scenario into a community and self-sustaining one.
