Andrew Sullivan is a writer, editor and activist who is himself gay. Anna Quindlen is a journalist, married and the mother of three who strongly supports gay rights. Although labels such as "liberal," "conservative," "left," and "right" are misleading, even useless at times, it seems as though he is somewhat more conservative than she when it comes to the struggle for equality for homosexuals.
