This paper argues that from an international law standpoint, the war in Iraq is legal.
Discussion
It is important to recognize that there is a substantial difference between something being legal and justified according to the letter of the law, and being morally right. Few people still believe that the Iraq War is moral: too many of the reasons presented to the public for waging the war have been proven hollow. There is also the fact that Iraq is oil-rich, and the U.S. has an insatiable appetite for oil, and a President with a background in the oil business. These facts alone are enough to cast doubt...
