All of these facts are worth considering in the context of the rights and freedoms of homosexual couples in America. Regardless of that fact and despite the many political issues associated with it, the fact remains that the many churches of America are also protected by the Constitution and no government mandate can decide what sort of relationships it can and cannot support within a religious context.
