...King, Jr. urged further social change in the area of Civil and Political rights for all. However, shortly after giving his now famous I’ve Been to the Mountaintop speech, he was gunned down. In view of his almost prophetic statements made in that speech, it is possible to see that he may have foreseen his own death and as such increased his arguments and pressures for social changes.
