In charles Mann’s book, however, we see that this was likely not the case at all for many places in the Americas had very advanced systems of towns and cities and agricultural development until various droughts and weather conditions and then European arrivals cause incredible devastation that Mann argues killed upwards of even possibly 99% of the people who lived in the Americas.
