Starring John Travolta, it demonstrates the idea that big business cares little for the people plagued with the effects of pollution and that the deaths of others can easily be swept aside if no one makes noise. This is so often the case in society today. It takes, as the title suggests, court action to get any satisfaction. Of course, that satisfaction is something that is never achieved. It is always too little too late. Once people have died, or have gone through a myriad of miscarriages, their lives are already ruined.
In the film, John Travolta is the lawyer who is shown a case where several children have died of Leukemia. Is this cluster attributable to pollution that is dished out by a local plant?
