...My Antonia, have been hailed as classics in their own right, and though they may on the surface seem to be very different tales, it can be said that they also share a great deal in common. Issues such as a sense of alienation, coming of age, and a love of the land are but a few of the characteristics which are commonly evident. However, issues which divide them are their approach and perspective to these same issues.
