The American Revolution for example laid the groundwork for what has become perhaps one of the greatest nations to ever be born. In other nations, revolution has only resulted in a coup that would perhaps change things, but not necessarily for the better. Sometimes, revolution just produces change where the end result is not what the people thought it would be. In comparing and contrasting the Cuban and Mexican Revolutions, it seems that one represents a change in command and in ideology, where another simply represents a shift in the ruling forces, but not an overall governmental shift.
