It was a time in history that is all but impossible to even fathom having happened, but contrary to what some people would say, it did happen and it caused incredibly inhumane pain and suffering and death for many. And for those who lived through the ordeal it could well be said that the pain and suffering did not end even after the war. The following paper offers a look at the Holocaust, as a whole, and then examines three different films that offer the viewer different perspectives of the Holocaust. The films are Sophie’s Choice, Schindler’s List, and The Devil’s Arithmetic.
