...knew I wanted to go to medical school. Since childhood, I have felt a compelling desire to enter the field of medicine. My parents describe times when I was a child and role-played being a doctor. My mother reflected with great pride on the accuracy of my statements, my desire to make diagnoses and even my demeanor, which indicated a desire to show professionalism, even at age 6.
My hope of becoming a physician necessitates my application to medical school and I have pursued information about a variety of different schools in order to determine what would best meet my needs as a student. I have assessed three essential criteria in my selection process, the presence of a valued reputation, the integration of a highly competitive curriculum, and the use of valued professionals as a part of the instructional process. All of these elements are in place at Weill Cornell Medical College.
