The integrity of the profession was restored. As time went on the newspaper evolved into a medium that was well respected. Today, things are quite different. Not only has media evolved from a print focus to the view of media as a constantly changing phenomenon, but also, the character of Europe has changed a great deal. No longer is it a cluster of countries, but now it is united once again as it had during an earlier era. Still, each country in Europe has its own laws and regulations.
