This particular picture seems to offer up an innocent man, or a man who is complacent about his situation. This presents this viewer with a loss of hope and an understanding that the man who is going to be shot is giving up. Of course, this also makes this writer think of what they do not know about the man standing there ready to be shot. While it is a graphic picture which gives us a moment before this man will be dead, it is also a very silent picture that asks us to look deeper.
