...that matter why should anyone be moral? The Merriam Webster Dictionary defines moral as "of or relating to the principles of right or wrong (1974). That doesn't seem to make the question difficult, if the word means relating to right or wrong. Our common tendency is to consider that "moral" only relates to goodness, or the nature of being good. It would appear to be easier to be challenged by the experience of relating to principles, be that good/right or bad/wrong, than to carry the burden of thinking that a moral person is always one who does the right thing. Actually it seems that a moral person may be that individual who considers right and wrong, and usually chooses what is right - at least the majority of the time. Once an individual decides that "moral" is an OK thing - in fact a relatively normal thing to be, or include in one's personality or life, then it is easier to move through the idea, and reach some personal...
